High Country Fly Fishers, Bonneville Fly Fishers, Stonefly Society, Heidi Lewis’ Wasatch Women’s Fly Fishers, and Rebecca Granillo’s Utah Women Fly Fishers came together for another fun “Freeze Your A** Off” fish day on the Middle Provo on January 21st.
Wow! Did we have a bunch of people or what? At one count, about 50 people were milling around at The Hub Restaurant in Heber. Way more than we expected. And we were all so glad to see everyone there! Old friends and new. 😊
I’m betting we’ll do it again next year! It was just too much fun!!
Breakfast was a success! Thanks for your patience with the crowding situation and for chipping in to “sweeten the pot” for The Hub’s wait staff and kitchen crew.
Those who stayed on the Middle enjoyed cold air, no wind, lots of sun and deep snow banks. Many who texted or called scored some fish! Hooray! Those of us who went to the Lower got into a storm cloud that wouldn’t quit: wind, snow, extreme cold, dark skies. A few whitefish were caught. But some shopping at Fly Fish Food made us smile!
